You are comparing a Toyota Tacoma that sells for more than $43,000 to a 4WD Maverick that sells for $30,070. I would hope that a truck that costs 43% more to buy is going to provide better performance.

A Corvette provides better performance than a Mazda Miata but who would ever compare them as equivalent vehicles considering that the Chevy costs twice as much to buy?

Bingo -- The maverick isn't a truck, it is however a monocoque suv with rear hatch turned bed. Only a fool would have confused it for anything other than that. The fact someone tried to make it into something it's not says more about them, than the platform.

The thumbnail alone tells us all we need to know.
