Looking to add another vehicle to my business.

2024 F150 STX Black Package, 2.7
2024 GMC Sierra Custom 2.7

I really like the style of the new Sierra and in black, looks sharp.

Pricing wise, the Sierra I get a better monthly payment on a 36 or 48 month lease with same mileage as the F150.

Insurance for the driver on the Sierra is marginally cheaper as well.

I figure an approximate savings on the GM of $1,500/yr.

The buy back at the end of a 48 month term for both trucks, the F150 is approximately $7,500.00 cheaper as the GM rate is 8.99 and the F150 is 6.50 over the 48 month term.

Ultimately, they are somewhat a wash in terms of cost over the year, especially if the GM is worse on fuel, then it could claw back its $1,500 annual cost benefit over the F150.

Whether I buy either out at the end isn't something I can decide yet, so it doesn't factor into this decision very much.

What I am getting at here....

DOES ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THESE GM 2.7s?
Reliability?
How's the mileage with the 8 speed?

My usual self leans towards the F150 because it's familiar and I think highly of the 2.7 BUT another part of me likes the look of these Sierras and is now the time to try one out?

If you lease, who cares. It ain't going to break during the lease. The GM 2.7 is worse on gas by a wide margin and has the AFM issues long term.
